Stronger in 2015!

Not only do I believe this is going to be the best year in the life of Elevate Church, I also believe that this could be the best year of your life as well!

I mentioned a few weeks ago that God had given me the word “STRONGER” to help direct us in 2015. No, it wasn’t an audible voice that sounded like the guy that does the state farm commercials (that is after all how I envision God sounding like). It was more like a deep impression God laid on my heart that was there every morning when I woke up for several months.

Far too many of our marriages are struggling. There are more children living in broken homes than I care to recount. There are severed relationships between Father and Son, Mother and Daughter, etc…  People are spending more than they make and as a result are living deep in debt with a constant financial strain. We call ourselves followers of Jesus, but the way we live more resembles a fan of Jesus than a fully devoted follower of Jesus.

For all these reasons and more, we are dedicating 2015 to becoming STRONGER!

Isaiah 54:2-3 says, “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left…”

This is a building year for Elevate Church, figuratively and literally.

We are committed to “Strengthening the stakes” of: family, marriage, faith, values, parenting, discipleship, finance, generosity, serving the under-served, and reaching people who are far from God. And we know that in order to grow larger, we must first grow deeper. Dig those stakes deep!

It’s unbelievable that God has brought so may people to Elevate Church in such a short period of time, but just because we’re experiencing numerical growth doesn’t mean there is spiritual growth. It’s time to step up!

Come on Elevate, let’s make this the best and the strongest year yet!
